PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Our diverse neighborhoods and close proximity to the University of Minnesota provide Pratt students with exposure to a rich variety of cultural and economic backgrounds
  • Staff provides in-depth instruction in reading, writing and math based on the Minnesota state standards 
  • Individualized student assessments are regularly reviewed to monitor student progress and achievement goals
  • Instruction is responsive to student needs and parent input
  • Enrichment opportunities provided by the Children's Theatre, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Minneapolis Institute of Arts and resources from the Minnesota Humanities Commission
  • Partnerships and close ties with community organizations provide extended learning for students during the school day
  • Minnesota Reading and Math Corps - tutoring in reading and math
  • Parent-involved leadership: the Pratt Site Leadership Team and Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) give parents and the community meaningful input to support school programs and increase parent communication
  • Historic building provides a warm and inviting learning environment
  • Active Community Education programming in the building promotes ongoing community involvement
