PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Keewaydin and Wenonah together comprise one school on two campuses, with kindergarten through second grade at Wenonah and third through eighth grades at Keewaydin

MIDDLE SCHOOL: Our middle grades program supports students in their preparation for high school. Teachers demand high levels of cognitive engagement every day. Our middle grades students take four core classes: mathematics, science, social studies and language arts. Students also have the opportunity to take AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), world language, reading enrichment or advanced math and all have art, health, and physical education throughout the year. Our teachers are committed to working with these vibrant young people to help them discover and explore interests while focusing on high-level academic content.

EXTENDED-DAY ACTIVITIES: Community Education and ALC (Area Learning Center), math and reading support, jazz band, choir, athletics, debate, chess club, Youth Inc. tutoring, MFAC Athletic Association in conjunction with Keewaydin Park, soccer, cooking club, art, Lego robotics, and service learning.
