MIDDLE SCHOOL: Middle-grade teams are comprised of four teachers with 100-120 students in each grade, sixth through eighth. Core team subjects are language arts, social studies, math and science. Support from Autism, ELL and Special Education staff is aligned with each grade-level team. In addition, the services of both a full-time counselor and social worker are available to students. Electives in fine arts, academic support and physical education are available. Teaching teams meet at least weekly to plan instruction. Activities to build collaboration, social skills and study skills occur throughout the year, including student council, and mentoring and partnerships with Boys & Girls Club, Girl Scouts and YWCA. Parents receive student progress reports eight times yearly.

EXTENDED-DAY ACTIVITIES: One-on-one tutors, math and literacy support, middle school athletics, Community Education, theater, choirs, visual arts, instrumental groups
