MIDDLE SCHOOL: Strong grade-level interdisciplinary teams comprised of at least a Math, Individuals & Society, Language & Literature and Science teacher and a dean working together to support the needs of our adolescent learners. Specialist teachers work closely with the team to coordinate work and address student concerns. Parents receive grade reports four times a year, and many teachers also provide weekly feedback through Student Parent Teacher conferences, student planners, email or phone calls. Parents may access student grades on the Parent Portal, which is just one more way we increase communication between home and school. Parent involvement is a priority.
EXTENDED-DAY ACTIVITIES: Athletics (boys and girls basketball, soccer, softball and baseball...all other sports offered at the high school level), art club, drama, mentoring, Lego Robotics, Urban Debate League, math, reading, yoga, Everyday Leaders/Service Learning, and annual musical.
