SPECIALTY FOCUS: Anishinabe Academy is a prekindergarten through eighth-grade Minneapolis public school. In addition to having the community handpick the staff, we have been given the freedom to develop a unique curriculum under the guidance of the school district and in conjunction with Native American organizations, staff and parents. Core subject areas are taught with the same rigor as throughout MPS, with the addition of Native language and culture throughout the curriculum.
