MIDDLE SCHOOL: Building on a solid foundation, Hale/Field continues a strong emphasis on academics. We offer a comprehensive core curriculum in language arts, math, science and social studies. We require basic enrichment skills time for our students to further strengthen reading and math skills. Our elective opportunities include visual, vocal and instrumental arts; Spanish; media technology; and physical education. Other components incorporated into our program include advisory, Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), special education support as well as the citywide autism program.

EXTENDED-DAY ACTIVITIES: Minneapolis Kids child care program for students in fifth and sixth grades; academic support programs; after-school tutorial services in math and reading; athletic program; Science Bowl; student council; Girls in Engineering, Math and Science (GEMS); Guys in Science and Engineering (GISE).
